Elsamere Field Study centre
Tree Planting The Field Study Centre is an integral part of Elsamere and was established in 1989. It continues the conservation work started by the Adamsons and offers a wide range of educational programmes for teachers, pupils and community leaders. The Centre is also frequently host to important conferences and research seminars concerned with local, national and international conservation issues.
The Centre provides dormitory accommodation for up to 56 students with an additional 4 cottages for staff as well as a large well equipped conference room and laboratory. The FSC team can provide an interesting range of organised environmental activities on site including bird watching, nature walks and tree planting as well as visits to local areas of conservation interest such as Hells Gate and Nakuru National Park.  If preferred, teachers or group leaders may arrange their own programmes using the available
Kitchen Garden
facilities. Day visits are also catered for and backed up by outreach visits to local schools.
